Whether setting up your own matches or participating in organized play, John’s Island Club offers fantastic Tennis, Squash, Croquet programs & Pickleball for all. Professionals in each sport teach basics to beginners, and advanced skills and strategy to the more advanced players.
Tennis
The meticulously-maintained 17 Har-Tru clay tennis courts host weekly group play, social events, championship matches, fun family tournaments and special events. Tennis lessons – both private and group settings – teach beginners the basics of the game and hone skills of the more advanced. Cardio Tennis provides a fantastic workout while enhancing tennis skills. And a healthy junior program provides youngsters with basic clinics, intense tennis camps, and private lessons.
Squash
John’s Island Club boasts two international Squash Courts: one doubles court and one singles court. Both courts are available for play throughout the year. A squash pro is available for lessons, as well as arrangement of matches. The Club hosts invitational tournaments featuring some of the sports’ top players, and usually add a pro-am to the list. A hearty youth program assists youngsters with skills, whether they’re just learning the sport, or wish to improve their skills.
Croquet
Two well-manicured courts at John’s Island Club West accommodate two types of play: Six Wicket Croquet and Golf Croquet. Courts open for play daily, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Organized play and clinics for both croquet games are held each week. Invitational tournaments, croquet “schools,” and social events such as “Wine & Wickets” round out the calendar.
Pickleball
Six well maintained lighted courts at John’s Island Club accommodate the growing popularity of this game. Courts open for play daily, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Organized play, clinics, and camps are held through out the year. As well as private lessons, group lessons, and family/friend special events.
