John's Island Club will proudly host the United States Golf Association's 2015 Mid-Amateur Championship from October 1st thru October 8th. Some 5,000 Mid-Ams -- that is, players 25-and-over with handicaps not greater than 3.4 -- will attempt to qualify for the Championship at local sites around the country, with 264 players earning the right to play at John's Island Club.

Congratulations to all the participants-- and welcome to the John's Island Club! Following two days of practice on October 1-2, the Mid-Ams will then play 36 holes of qualifying Medal -- 18 over the North Course and 18 over the West -- during the weekend of October 3-4. Players with the low 64 scores then advance to one-and-done Match Play on the West Course starting on Monday, October 5th. The 36-hole Championship Match is scheduled for Thursday, October 8th. The winner of the Mid-Am receives the Robert Tyre Jones Jr. Memorial Trophy plus an invitation to the 2016 Masters Tournament at the Augusta National Golf Club.

This 2015 Mid-Am will be the first-ever USGA "Major" played on the Treasure Coast. John's Island Club is excited to host the Championship and appreciates the support received from the community.
